Photo Vogue, AKA Vogue Italia.

I have been published in Photo Vogue/Vogue Italia 13 times.

Sounds like a brag right, it’s acutaly a labour of love and the truth is that the publications are a result of me sending submissions, not being hired.

A few years ago I saw a friend’s post on Instagram, it was a feature on Photo Vogue. I immediately asked this friend how that happened. Vogue is the dream for anyone in fashion. She told me I could submit so off I went and for a long time I was on a tear, they were accepting everything now, but not so much. They also only open the portal for submissions once a week, it used to be twice so I stay up until after 11 every Sunday and send in two photos with my fingers crossed. Sometimes they pop up on my feed right away sometimes I just get the notice that I have reached the maximum amount of photos for the submission.

I have been doing this for 4+ years. I started to take screen shots of my submissions about half way through and I have blogged about this before. I felt it was worth a circle back because why do we do what we do?

Why do you always ask someone what they do when you meet them?
